This ain’t our first rodeo as far as beer collabs go, but this is the first time Tin Roof Brewing Co. has partnered with the folks of Federales Fest to bring y’all EL JEFE Blue Corn Mexican Lager!

We’ve made a couple of Mexican Lagers in our day, but this one has a little something extra! Brewed with Pilsner malt and a dash of 6 Row Malt, the bulk of the flavor of this lager comes from the addition of malted blue corn. Soft and slightly sweet with strong notes of tortilla dough and stone grits, the initial taste is balanced by the bitterness and floral spice aroma of Hallertau Magnum and Tettnang Hops. El Jefe Mexican Lager is aromatic and refreshing, with a slight sweetness and easy drinkability. 5.5%
